Chengdu Asia Regional Gathering

Overview

Craft Associates supported the organization of Thunderbird School of Global Management’s 2024 Asia Regional Gathering in Chengdu, bringing together more than 100 alumni, family members, and guests from across the international Thunderbird community.

The four-day program combined executive networking, industry discussions, corporate visits, and cultural experiences, creating a platform for business leaders to reconnect, exchange perspectives, and explore opportunities in Western China.

The Experience

The gathering featured thought leadership sessions with Thunderbird leadership and alumni executives, including discussions on Asia’s economic outlook, Western China’s development, emerging technologies, and global leadership.

Participants visited leading Chinese enterprises, including Geely Aerofugia and XGIMI, gaining exposure to innovations in aerospace mobility, intelligent manufacturing, and consumer electronics. The program also included a visit to the Chengdu Planning Museum to explore the city’s urban and economic transformation.

Beyond the business agenda, curated networking events and Sichuan cultural experiences strengthened relationships across different generations of Thunderbird alumni.
